GREEN BAY (NBC 26) — The Downtown and Olde Main Street Districts announced green and gold lights will be set up across the heart of Green Bay in celebration of the Packers entry into the Playoffs.

Not only will Washington Street and Whitney Park be decorated with Packers colors, but a four-foot tall "GO PACK" will be brightly lit for your next photo-op, according to Downtown Green Bay, Inc. There will also be festive street poles adorned with Packers banners, flags, and ornaments.

Staff said local artist Kayla Kedzior has been hard at work completing a window mural at the former Children's Museum, located at 301 N. Washington Street.

"I'm excited to be a part of the Downtown and Olde Main Street Business Improvement District's effort to show Packers pride and team spirit," said Kedzior. "During a time when we cannot come together in person, this mural represents our strength as a community and support of our hometown team, the Green Bay Packers."

Downtown Green Bay said the Walnut Street bridge will be blue and yellow this weekend as the Packers take on the Los Angeles Rams.

“We are thrilled to offer Green Bay residents and visitors a safe, fun activity to cheer on the Green Bay Packers,” stated Jeff Mirkes, Executive Director of Downtown Green Bay, Inc. “Beautification projects like this improve our community’s first impression and offer a unique way to explore downtown and its many local businesses.”
