DE PERE (NBC 26) — Downtown De Pere's Farmers Market has returned this summer from 3 p.m. until 8 p.m. Thursday evenings through September 23.

"We’ve got some great vendors and there’s a nice selection of fresh produce, fresh flowers, a lot of specialty food items, and some arts and crafts," said Tina Quigley, executive director of Definitely De Pere.

The market, located at the George Street Plaza between Broadway and Wisconsin Street, features live music, food, beverages and shopping.

This year's expanded market features a variety of products, Quigley said. Safely-distanced vendors also sell meats and eggs, breads and baked goods, specialty foods, and handcrafted items.

"We typically average about 30 vendors and that’s my favorite part," Quigley said. "It’s not overwhelming, and you get to know the vendors on a personal level if you came back each week and shop with the same vendors at the same location."

The market also features special health and wellness activities, special events for kids, and learning and educational opportunities.

Definitely De Pere has been working with the city and the De Pere Health Department to implement best practices to ensure the health and safety of vendors, attendees and staff.

Organizers ask that market goers adhere to the following guidelines:
• Those who are not vaccinated are advised to wear a mask
• Stay home if you or anyone in your household is sick
• Maintain an appropriate physical distance while shopping
• Use hand sanitizer or hand-washing stations as necessary
