This week the Doty Island Development Council is hosting a history tour of historic buildings.
The tour contains more than two dozen Neenah and Menasha homes and businesses. The council said the tour is free and a great way to engage outdoors discovering a historical gem on Doty Island.
"Going through the tours, you’re able to see all the little nicks and crannies of streets that you may not know exists along with all these big, beautiful homes that you would not know are behind these set of trees or finback of the neighborhood or those waterfront properties that you would not know exists or do not know or think to go look at," explained Doty Island Development Council Vice President, Julien Wechseler.
Doty Island is an island in Winnebago County, located between Neenah and Menasha.
