SURING, Wis. (NBC 26) -- The Wisconsin Department of Justice is investigating an officer-involved death in Oconto County.
According to the Division of Criminal Investigation, it happened shortly after 7 p.m. Sunday in the area of Suring.
The sheriff's office responded to a residence after reports a person with a felony warrant was inside.
When they arrived they found the suspect with a firearm .
Deputies shot the suspect. The person died on the scene. No one else was injured during the incident.
Deputies involved have been placed on administrative leave which is department policy.
The DCI is leading this investigation.
