GREEN BAY, Wis. — A few dogs rescued from a hoarding situation are now available for adoption, according to the Wisconsin Humane Society Green Bay Campus.

In a recent Facebook post, the Humane Society says the dogs were part of more than 30 animals seized from a home in the Town of Eaton back in February. The organization took custody of the animals and are now working to make the animals ready for adoption.

The dogs will be spayed or neutered, micro-chipped, and given initial vaccinations prior to adoption. Some dogs will need more foster care for medical or behavioral reasons and won't be available for adoption for several more weeks.

Since the dogs were in a hoarding situation, the Humane Society says the dogs will need a lot of patience and care. The Humane Society says victims of hoarding are often fearful of new people and surroundings.

You can see who is available by checking the Humane Society's website. According to Lori Nachtwey from the Wisconsin Humane Society Green Bay, the dogs listed with a * next to their name are from the Town of Eaton hoarding case.
