GREEN BAY (NBC 26) — Green Bay's face mask ordinance expires Wednesday, but Green Bay Metro is reminding the public that face masks are still required when riding the city's transit.
"...face masks will continue to be required when using Green Bay Metro Transit buses, paratransit, and microtransit services and while at our transit center," Green Bay Metro said in a statement Wednesday.
Green Bay Metro also cites the Presidential Executive Order, which has extended the face mask requirement on public transit until September 13.
Green Bay's common council approved a mask mandate at the beginning of April. It was set to expire May 5. The common council's decision came after the Wisconsin Supreme Court struck down the mask mandate issued statewide.
