DE PERE, Wis. (NBC 26) -- A fire left a church and a restaurant in De Pere completely destroyed this past Friday. And those who had events scheduled at the impacted Chicago Street Pub have their plans put on hold.
But now one local event space has figured out a way to help.
The LedgeCrest Reserve is offering its facility up for free to those who had events planned at Chicago Street Pub.
"We're neighbors," The LedgeCrest Reserve Owner Alliey Kline told NBC 26. "We live in De Pere. Our venue is very close to Chicago Street. And we're neighbors in De Pere and we want to help each other. So anyone that needs a place to come, we welcome them into our facility and we will take care of them."
The wedding venue typically charges a rental price, but Kline says its better to help a community in need.
Officials say the cause of the fire will go down as undetermined.
