GREEN BAY (NBC26) — Two Green Bay Packers icons' 14-foot-tall bronze replicas now have a new look: face coverings. Aaron Popkey, director of public affairs for the Packers, said it will serve as a reminder for people to stay vigilant and wear masks, especially if they want to return to the Lambeau Field stands this football season.

“People come by Lambeau Field or hopefully see pictures and images, and it is a reminder of the things we need to do," he said. "There’s a lot of people across the community that certainly are doing their part, but with the numbers the way they are there’s more that can be done, and the more people that can tighten up their actions and behaviors a little bit more, and hopefully there’s a part of that to get people thinking that way.”

The Packers still has an indefinite hold on hosting fans in the stadium, due to COVID-19 continually rising in Northeast Wisconsin.
