GREEN BAY (NBC 26) — Dozens came out to Pamperin Park in Green Bay Saturday afternoon for the Crimson Circle grand reopening.

People played what is known as “amtgard”, a live-action role-playing game.

Participants were dressed in medieval style clothing, getting into character and battling one another.

“Crimson Circle, which is a branch of the kingdom known as Polaris, which essentially makes up Minnesota, Illinois, parts of Illinois and Wisconsin, we’re part of a larger game called Amtgard, which nationally there’s parks all over the United States, including Canada. We all get together and coordinate with the rules. We have inter-kingdom events and we get together to just fight, have a good time and get to know each other,” said Jon Buss, Green Bay.

This was the group’s first event since the pandemic began.

Usually, they meet up every Saturday afternoon. Anyone over the age of 14 is welcomed to join, even those with no experience.
