CALUMET CO. (NBC 26) — Law enforcement reported a man called emergency services for help finding his way back to shore after ice fishing on Lake Winnebago Saturday night.
The Calument County Sheriff's Office said the 46-year-old man was unable to find his was back to shore due to weather conditions and called them just after 8 p.m. Phone contact with the man's cell phone was lost after some time.
Deputies said the man was located, unharmed, by search crews around 9:50 p.m. They said he was found on Lake Winnebago west of Brothertown Harbor, almost a mile off shore.
