GRAND CHUTE (NBC 26) — A car crash at a mobile COVID-19 testing site in Grand Chute left several people injured, including healthcare staff at the testing site.
The crash happened around noon at the Fox Cities Stadium in Grand Chute.
NBC 26 reporter Eric Crest happened to be at the COVID testing site to report on a different story. Crest said he and a ThedaCare employee ran toward the crash after it happened to see if they could help.
Crest said he witnesses several healthcare workers, some of whom were injured, rush out of the RV that held the mobile testing site and pull the driver who crashed into them out of his vehicle.
Within minutes, Grand Chute police and firefighters were on scene offering aid, transporting at least two people to a local hospital. Police said those individuals have non-life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the vehicle was also injured, he is believed to have had a medical emergency behind the wheel.
