CHILTON (NBC 26) — A man shot and killed his mother before turning the gun on himself, according to Chilton Police.
Back in January, the bodies of Judith Mastrocola and Matthew Moore were found in a Chilton home. Multiple agencies investigated the deaths. The Fond du Lac County Medical Examiner’s Office conducted autopsies on the two people.
Chilton Police said the Chief Medical Examiner determined that both Matthew Moore and Judith Mastrocola’s causes of death were both from a single gunshot wound.
Citing physical evidence and witness interviews, police said investigators determined that Matthew Moore shot and killed his mother, Judith Mastrocola, and then shot and killed himself.
Judith Mastrocola was 78 years old. Matthew Moore was 54.
