FOND DU LAC, Wis. (NBC 26) - An 8-year-old Fond du Lac girl is in critical condition this morning after a bike crash.
Police and Fire/Rescue responded to the area of E. Johnson St. and Amory St. around 9 p.m. Monday for a report of a vehicle hitting a child on a bike. The girl was taken by ambulance to St. Agnes Hospital, and then flown to Children's Hospital in critical condition.
Police say the driver, a 50-year-old Fond du Lac man, hit the girl while she was trying to cross the street on her bike.
The incident remains under active investigation.
