Chappell Elementary in Green Bay moves to virtual due to staff shortages

GREEN BAY (NBC 26) — Chappell Elementary, Washington Middle, and Minoka High School program students will move to virtual learning from Thursday, January 6, through Monday, January 10 due to a "critical staff shortage" at the school.

The Green Bay Area Public School District said Thursday will be an independent learning day for students. Teachers will be contacting families regarding virtual instruction for Friday, January 7, and Monday, January 10.

Washington Middle School students can pick-up meals between 10:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.

Meal pick-up at Chappell Elementary will be available during virtual learning at door 6 from 10:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.

Minoka High School program students may contact the school regarding meals.

If the critical staffing shortage at has not been resolved by end of the day on Monday, January 10, the District will notify families no later than 9:00 p.m., if virtual instruction will continue for the next day.
