ONEIDA, Wis. — Saturday marked the Oneida Nation's 10th annual Big Apple Fest.

This is a free community event that continues to grow throughout the years. Michelle Danforth Anderson, the marketing and tourism director for the Oneida Nation, said this year is the biggest they've seen. Many strolled through the Amelia Cornelius Culture Park where the event took place. Rain or shine, the event featured horse drawn wagon rides, an apple pie baking contest, a petting zoo, and more. People were also able to head to the Oneida Apple Orchard to pick and buy their own apples.

"You just see the kids, and they're smiling and their parents, and everyone's putting down their phones. And it's just wonderful to see people enjoying themselves," added Danforth Anderson.

A rehabilitated eagle was also featured at the event. The once injured eagle was released back into nature with crowds cheering and it soared towards the trees.
