NEENAH (NBC26) — One man is in custody after a lengthy standoff with police Wednesday afternoon.
According to the Neenah Police Department, around 1:00 p.m. officers located a carjacking suspect at a duplex on the 1000 block of Holly Court.
The suspect, 27-year-old John "Juan" Emilio Castro, refused to come outside when asked to by officers on the scene.
Due to Castro's criminal history, the Neenah Police SWAT team was called to the scene along with negotiators.
After a six-hour standoff, Castro surrendered and was arrested on charges of theft of a motor vehicle, possession of stolen property, and multiple felony and misdemeanor warrants.
