GREEN BAY (NBC 26) — Capital Credit Union is holding a Rooftop Fundraiser to fight homelessness.

Two members of Capital’s management team are camping on the rooftop overnight Thursday at the 825 Morris Avenue Branch in Green Bay.

The 24-hour Rooftop Challenge started Thursday morning with donations directly benefiting St. John’s Homeless Shelter in Green Bay and Pillars in Appleton. Monetary donations will be accepted at all 24 Capital branches, as well as online at capitalcu.com, through June 5.

Capital Credit Union President and CEO Tom Young says helping others is their mission.

“We live by our motto," Young said. "We live it through advocacy in our branches, by the individuals we hire, and the projects we do for and with our communities. Our members, employees and community continually drive us to do the right thing.”
