STURGEON BAY (NBC 26) — One person is still unaccounted for after a building fire in Sturgeon Bay earlier this week, according to police.
Authorities are still investigating what caused the building that hosted Butch's Bar to go up in flames early Tuesday morning. The building was also home to several apartment tenants who lived above the bar.
While most tenants were accounted for, police said one deceased male was found in the building's rubble. Investigators removed small sections of the south wall Wednesday and recovered the body, which has been sent to Madison for identification.
Police also say drones are restricted from the area as the investigation into the fire continues. Earlier Wednesday, police said a drone was directly above public safety crews that halted their recovery efforts.
