BROWN COUNTY (NBC 26) — Trails maintained by the Brown County Parks Department opened on Tuesday.
Brown County Parks opened the Reforestation Camp mountain bike and horse trails, Neshota Park horse trails and the Fox River Trail horse trails for the 2022 season on Tuesday morning.
The Reforestation Camp located in Suamico is home to more than 17 miles of mountain bike trails and is well known by riders from across northeast Wisconsin as a destination site.
The Reforestation Camp is also home to more than eight miles of horseback riding trails. The Fox River State Recreational Trail horse trails will also open. Six miles of the trail is open to horseback riding from Greenleaf to Man-Cal Road.
Neshota County Park, located near Denmark, has six miles of horseback riding trails.
Brown County Parks is asking trail-goers to please be a good trail steward and remain off the trails after heavy rains.
You are asked to purchase your trail pass before riding. Failure to possess a valid pass will result in a $10 violation notice and a requirement to purchase an annual pass. Passes can be purchased at trailheads or online at www.browncountyparks.org
County trail passes (Reforestation Camp & Neshota) are: $5/day or $30/year. State trail passes (Fox River Trail) are: $5/day or $25/year.
