BROWN CO. (NBC 26) — Some parks in Brown County will be closing because of the 9-day gun deer hunt. Meanwhile, some areas will be closed or have limited access.

Permits have already been issued to hunters who will be able to use the land.

Now some parks will still be open to the public, but will have closed off trails.

As for where hunting is not allowed, the Parks Department says that will be on both the Fox River Trail and Mountain Bay Trail. However, adjoining private property may be open to it.

They recommend any hikers and bikers, aside from hunters, wear blaze orange for safety.

Any other park in the county system will be open for the season. But these closures will be in place from sunrise November 21st to sunset November 29th.
