GREEN BAY (NBC 26) — A customer with a weapon, though the weapon was never brandished, led Brown County Sheriff deputies to respond to a Walmart Monday morning.
The Sheriff's Office said deputies were sent to the Walmart in Bellevue for a person with a gun. While this incident is still under investigation, the Sheriff's Office said it's clear that no weapon was pointed or drawn from its holster and the public is not in danger.
Investigators have identified the person from the incident and investigators are attempting to contact him to obtain his side of the story.
The Brown County Sheriff's Office issued a warning to the public Monday morning, telling people to stay away from the Walmart due to an "active weapons situation." The Sheriff's Office then later said the suspect left the area and the situation was no longer active.
