FOND DU LAC (NBC 26) — Authorities are investigating the cause of death for a man whose body was pulled from the Fond du Lac River on Friday.
Fond du Lac Police stated in a news release that officers and firefighters responded to a report of a body found in the river at around 6:55 p.m. Friday.
Police said the body was pulled from the river by first responders and pronounced dead at the scene by the Fond du Lac County Medical Examiner’s Office. Police said the body was identified as a 37-year-old Fond du Lac man who had been reported missing the day before.
According to police, there were no obvious signs of foul play. Police said the Fond du Lac County Medical Examiner’s Office will conduct an autopsy to determine the cause of death.
