GREEN BAY (NBC26) — The Union Congregational United Church of Christ at 716 S. Madison Street, is gearing up its“Blessing Box” for the second winter in a row.

The "Blessing Box" is for community members who can add or take items from the box at will. According to Reverend Bridget Flad Daniels, there are no sign-ups, no questions asked, and no conditions—just take what you need and leave what you like.

"It's something that allows people to access food or hygiene products that they may need with very low barriers. It allows people the dignity, they don't have to show ID, or prove need, just come by, and take what you need."

Officials say the box is usually stocked with free non perishables, hygiene products, masks, and winter gear.
