GREEN BAY, Wis. — The pre-teen and adolescent years for young girls can be challenging. That's why Big Brothers, Big Sisters of Northeast Wisconsin has launched a community campaign to raise awareness and help recruit more girls into the program.

Katie Hess, of Big Brothers, Big Sisters says the earlier girls get into the program the more they can benefit.

"Once they get into that pre-teen teen adolescent phase they start to go through a lot of significant challenges. If we can get to them earlier, our mentoring is more effective."

The organization currently has a waiting list and needs more mentors or "bigs" to sign up. Click here to find out how you can help.
