BERLIN (NBC 26) — Through the streets of Berlin, truck after truck went through town on Friday afternoon.
At the front of the line was a young passenger, smiling and waving.
"Really cool," nine-year-old Miguel said.
Miguel got out of school and say dozens of trucks lined up to meet him.
"I've never been in one," he said.
He soon learned, they were all there for him. Miguel was diagnosed with Stage 4 Rhabdomyosarcoma, a terminal cancer. His mom said it's taken a toll.
"It's been hard, but him getting to do things like this make it a little bit easier," Arlene Bialk said.
Together, Bialk and Miguel saw and waved to dozens of people outside during the route. People there wanted to show support and say hello. Truckers involved wanted to do the same. After the convey, they gave Miguel gifts and posed for pictures.
"It makes him happy, and that's all I want to see is him be happy," Bialk said.
