GREEN BAY (NBC 26) — As a drop off point for Toys for Tots again this year, The Automobile Gallery is providing an added incentive for people to donate through its Tickets for Toys program.
The Automobile Gallery, 400 S Adams St., will exchange an admission ticket for each of the new, unwrapped toys brought in for Toys for Tots.
The tickets don't need to be used right away when the toys are dropped off. They don't expire, so they can be used later or given away as gifts.
"All the way across from sleds, dolls, to toy cars, we are really are seeing the entire assortment and some people have been very generous and come in from miles away to bring loads of toys, and others they bring one, but it all means the same as it’s giving the children in need in this area an opportunity to have some joy on Christmas and that's what it’s really all about," said Darrel Burnett, executive director of the Automobile Gallery and Event Center.
From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 5, the Automobile Gallery is also hosting Cookies with Santa.
"Children can come in, give their Christmas list to Santa, see holiday programs, receive a holiday cookie, get a toy car as well and the adults have a chance to check out all the millions of dollars of great classic cars," Burnett said.
