Authorities release video of violence that broke out during Green Bay protests

GREEN BAY (NBC 26) -- The Brown County Sheriff’s Office is looking to identify suspects involved in several crimes carried out during protests in Green Bay at the end of last month.

Between May 31 and June 1, protesters took to the streets in downtown Green Bay following the death of George Floyd. The protests started peacefully, but violence broke out in the evening.

In downtown Green Bay, the Marathon Gas Station was looted. During the looting, the Sheriff’s Office said someone inside a car fired numerous shots in the direction of the gas station.

The Sheriff’s Office also said five squad cars were vandalized, causing about $16,000 in damages.

Additionally, the Sheriff's Office said the Camera Corner was burglarized and the John Dewey Academy of Learning was damaged.
