ASHWAUBENON (NBC 26) — This year, the village of Ashwaubenon is celebrating its 150th birthday, and city officials say they want you to take part in the celebration.
In a press conference Tuesday, city officials announced that this year their focus will be on reflecting on their history, celebrating their accomplishments, and planning for the future.
To further celebrate their sesquicentennial, the village president says they plan to have several festivities this summer.
"Will be celebrating the biggest event of our 150th birthday from August 8th through the 14th. The opening ceremonies will take place On Monday, August 9th at the high school. A lot of activities. We've been working on this for over a year trying to get everything situated," said Mary Kardoskee, the Ashwaubenon Village President.
Kardoskee says more details are expected to be released soon. The Packers are the presenting sponsor for the celebration.
