APPLETON (NBC 26) -- Appleton Police say no crime occurred at an incident that prompted a large police presence on Sunday.
Police said in an update Monday that officers were dispatched to the 3100 Block of North Lawe Street for a weapons call. Officers were advised that a person was being held against her will at the address.
Officers tried to make contact with people at the address, but didn't receive a response. Police said officers set up a perimeter as they investigated. Finally, after several attempts, police said the alleged suspect made contact with them by phone. Everyone in the home, including the alleged victim, were interviewed.
Police determined that no crime had occurred and no arrests were made.
