APPLETON (NBC 26) — Sad news for the Appleton Police Department - they announced Wednesday morning over social media the sudden passing of their beloved active duty K9 Waskos.
The department said Waskos died Friday, June 4 from an acute medical condition, adding he was "energetic, focused, and talented. This is a devastating loss to Appleton Department and his handler Sergeant Rohm."
Waskos had started in February 2015, assisting in specialized units like the SWAT team, to help keep our community safe. You can read more about Waskos in the Facebook post above.
