APPLETON, Wis. — The Appleton Police Department arrested a local driver’s education teacher following an investigation of attempted misconduct with an Appleton juvenile, police say in a news release Wednesday.
Police say 74-year-old Charles Rodgers was arrested Tuesday night was taken into custody for Attempted Child Enticement, Attempted Sexual Assault by a School Member and Attempted Exposing a Child to Harmful Narrations.
According to Appleton Police, Rodgers is employed by a local driving agency that contracts with area schools to provide driving services. Police say they investigated a complaint and intervened before Rodgers had contact with the student.
