APPLETON — Appleton's common council passed a resolution on Wednesday that bans minors from using or having electronic cigarettes.
The council president says the resolution passed on a 12-1 vote. It will now go to the attorney's office for a corresponding ordinance. Then, the resolution will show up again on the city council agenda to be formally enacted.
Nicotine products are already illegal for anyone under 18 years old. This resolution would ban minors from having a vaping device.
Appleton recently passed a public vaping ban.
