Appleton Area School District administration on Wednesday night recommended a fully-virtual start to the school year for all grades. The recommendation came during an AASD School Board meeting.
The previous AASD model envisioned fully in-person school for students through fourth grade, with a hybrid model of two in-person school days per week for grades 5-12. Any family could elect for a student to go fully-virtual.
The AASD School Board previously gave school administration the power to decide to move between the fully virtual, hybrid, and fully in-person teaching options.
