OCONTO COUNTY (NBC 26) — A 42-year-old man died after a motorcycle crash over the weekend in Oconto County.
On Sunday, at around 3:54 p.m., the Oconto County’s Sheriff’s Office Emergency Dispatch Center was notified of a traffic accident on USH 41 near Falk Road in the Town of Abrams.
Deputies immediately responded to the scene of the crash and saw a motorcycle that crashed into the median.
According to the sheriff's office, the preliminary investigation indicates a 42-year-old man, Jonathan Collins, from Antigo, was traveling northbound on USH 41 near Falk Road when the motorcycle lost control and crashed into the median.
Collins was thrown from the motorcycle. County Rescue Eagle III transported him by air to a Green Bay hospital where he later died from his injuries.
The investigation is being conducted by the Oconto County Sheriff’s Office and the Brown County Medical Examiner’s Office. No other information is being released at this time.
