WISCONSIN (NBC 26) — The air quality index is expected to reach Orange level today in the counties of Door, Kenosha, Kewaunne, Manitowoc, Milwaukee, Ozaukee, Racine and Sheboygan according to the Wisconsin DNR.

Orange level means that the air quality meets the criteria that is unhealthy for sensitive groups. At-risk groups include people with lung disease, children, older adults, and people active outdoors (including outdoor workers). Prolonged or heavy outdoor exertion should be reduced, especially for those groups of people.

The advisory in the several counties began at 2 p.m. and will last until 11 p.m. Details about the advisory are available at https://airquality.wi.gov/home/map.
