GREEN BAY (NBC 26) -- It wasn't just about eating on Thanksgiving. Turkey trotters were seen running around Green Bay on Thursday morning as part of the 12th Annual Festival Foods Turkey Trot on Lombardi Avenue.
More than 30,000 people trotted around the state for the 2 and 5-mile run/walks.
Pups could also join in the fun and there were a few adoptable dogs running in the race.
"We actually partnered with a local shelter in each community. So, they were able to have dog grand marshals. So, each community had a shelter dog be the grand marshal for our dog jog this year. It was super fun," said Assistant Race Director Marley Maney.
Money raised from Thursday's event is donated to the Boys and Girls Clubs and the local YMCA's.
