SAN FRANCISCO (NBC 26) — From its landscape to its landmarks, San Francisco is a city that's well-known around the country.

Ahead of the NFC Championship game in nearby Santa Clara, NBC 26 played the part of tourist out West.

What jumped out right away was the sweeping hills. The city drives up and down like a roller coaster. Houses line the hills and cars bravely parallel park on some steep inclines.

San Francisco also has a few iconic landmarks that we decided to visit.

The city's cable cars were out and about and full of smiling faces.

Pier 39 was a busy tourist spot where we talked with some people about the city. They commented on it's liveliness, it's friendliness, and it's tremendous seafood. The massive oysters we found did not disappoint.

The day finished up at the Golden Gate Bridge. Even on a chilly January day, hundreds and hundreds of people were out at nearby parks getting pictures and selfies with the bridge.
