NEENAH (WGBA) -- Samuel Roth has been trying almost everything he can to bring his family home.
"I've called Rep. Grothman's office and Senator Baldwin's office," Roth said.
However, there is not much he can do to bring his wife and two daughters back Neenah while the visit Wuhan China - the center of the Coronavirus outbreak.
"It's unsettling when I look at my phone in the morning and see the death tool rise," Roth said.
His family has been visiting relatives in China for the New Year. They also hoped to enroll his eldest daughter in a Chinese kindergarten. Now, he hopes they stay safe and avoid a disease that has killed over 100 people.
"They are pretty much bound to their apartment," Roth said. "They can still go outside and wear masks, but they've shut down public transportation which makes it hard to move around. Chinese people don't really have cars."
The U.S. State Department say a flight left Wuhan Tuesday, but Roth's family were unable to get on that flight. He hopes a new flight will become available. What brings him peace is knowing he has family in China. If his family gets sick, they know how to take care of them.
"We know what hospitals to bring them too, and what doctors to go to," Roth said. "There are two places I would like them to get sick, here at home or over there with family."
