GREEN BAY, Wis. — Every time fans fill Lambeau Field, Green Bay wins big.
This year that's been the case for the Packers as they've raced to a 3-0 start, but the Packers don't even have to win on the field for the community to win off of it.
"It's about a $14 million economic impact," Brenda Krainik with the Greater Green Bay Convention and Visitors Bureau said.
That's the dollar amount for every Packers home game.
The Packers kicked off their home schedule Sunday the 15th. That's $14 million. On Sunday the 22nd, the Packers hosted the Broncos. That's $14 million more. Thursday, another $14 million when the Packers welcome the Eagles to Lambeau Field.
In total, those three games in 12 days will bring in roughly $42 million of economic impact.
"Having three games within a short amount of time in September is a great opportunity," Krainik said.
It's dollars for hospitality, retail, and restaurants. That means money for businesses, jobs for people, and tax revenue for the area.
"It's definitely great for our business," The Stadium View Bar and Grille owner Amanda Watson said.
Watson said they've been prepping staff for months about the 'Packers rush'.
"Offseason things are a little bit more tame around Green Bay so it's nice to have everybody back together, bringing that energy," Watson said. "It's just really electric."
The Packers have ticket holders in all 50 states. For the many out of towners, The Stadium View can be one stop of many on a busy packers weekend.
"We see them in downtown Green Bay, in downtown De Pere, and really looking at all the great things that Green Bay has to offer," Krainik said.
