GREEN LAKE COUNTY (NBC 26) -- A 22-year-old man died in a crash Friday. He and two other drivers involved in the crash were identified Monday by the Green Lake County Sheriff's Office.
Emergency dispatch received a call at around 6:35 a.m. Friday concerning a crash on Highway 23 near St. Marie Road involving three vehicles. The sheriff's office said the driver of the tractor/trailer, 64-year-old Thomas G. Schuster, was uninjured. The driver of the SUV, 18-year-old Carter J. Hahn, suffered minor injuries and was not taken to the hospital. The driver of the sedan was dead when emergency responders arrived to the scene.
The sedan's driver was identified as 22-year-old Quintin N. Herdt, from the Green Lake and Princeton area.
According to the sheriff's office, a preliminary examination of the scene indicates that the SUV was heading west on Highway 23 and drifted into the eastbound lane striking the rear of the tractor trailer, and then striking the eastbound sedan in nearly a head-on fashion.
The sheriff's office said the crash is still being investigated.
