MANITOWOC, Wis. (NBC 26) — Virginia Posny was featured on Thursday's Smucker's Celebrates segment on the TODAY show for turning 100 years old.
A self-proclaimed Green Bay Packers fan, Posny officially received her associates degree from UW-Stevens Point at age 99 during the pandemic. UW-Stevens Point Chancellor Bernie L. Patterson awarded Posny the degree in 2020 after they discovered that she earned enough credits between 1939-1940. There was a drive-by parade to celebrate her achievements.
