A local family needs a live liver donor to save the life of a baby girl.
Lydia Pennenberg was born at Bellin Hospital in February. Not long after birth, she began to experience liver issues, and she is now in liver failure. She is currently at Children's Hospital in Milwaukee. A donor is her only hope.
"She's been doing great," her father, Andy, said. "She's really tough, she's really resilient, and we're super proud of her in that aspect."
Now, the family is asking for help in finding a live liver donor for their baby girl, Lydia.
"I know there's a lot of people out there looking to make a difference, and I can't really think of anything better that somebody can do than save a baby's life," Andy said. "We know that somebody's out there."
They are looking for someone who meets this specific criteria (only those who meet this criteria are eligible to help Lydia):
· Healthy adult (18-40 years old)
· Type A or O blood
· Weighs 80 lbs or less (36.2 kg)
If you know someone who is fits that criteria, they can fill out this donor form.
