A robbery suspect has been taken into custody following a large police presence at the 2700 block of Osha-He-Ta Trail.
Around 1:30 Tuesday afternoon, Green Bay Police say officers got word that a wanted suspect from a recent series of armed robberies was located in a residence in the 2700 block of Osha-He-Ta Trail on the city's far west side.
According to Green Bay Police, officers surrounded the home and asked for help from the department armored vehicle because they were concerned the suspect could be armed. SWAT responded and nearby schools were placed on a precautionary lockdown.
Police say the suspect, a 26-year-old man, surrendered without incident. The school lockdown was lifted at around 2:43 p.m. Police expect to remain on scene throughout the day as they investigate the home.
Police say the suspect is a Green Bay resident. Police say officers are still investigating and will not be releasing any other information at this time.
