A middle school in the Kaukauna School District emailed a letter to parents informing them of an alleged threat at River View Middle School.
The school says there will be an increased police presence as a precaution Friday.
The letter states the alleged threat was made by a student at the school Thursday afternoon. School leaders said the threat was not credible, but take take any threat seriously.
The district has been in contact with Kaukauna Police during the incident and say they have a plan in place.
The district is reminding parents and students to be aware of their surroundings and report any activity that may seem suspicious.
