The U.S. Coast Guard is sending out a safety warning as it gets ready to begin ice breaking operations.
Their vessel will depart from Sturgeon Bay on Thursday and will cut a track to the south end of the Bay of Green Bay.
The coast guard is advising ice fishermen to stay away from the shipping channels, because the ice may become unstable and dangerous.
