Gov. Scott Walker says he wants veterans across the country to consider living in Wisconsin when they transition to civilian life.
To gets veterans to the Badger State, Walker says the state will spend nearly two million dollars on a marketing campaign.
The campaign will have state officials visit summits for veterans at more than a dozen military instillations.
"The personal relationship is going to matter all that much more when we see veterans making decisions like where they're going to ship all their belongings in that final move that the military will pay for,” said Lt. Gov. Rebecca Kleefish.
The campaign will also be digital with social media posts and ads on websites.
The state plans on launching a new blog targeting veterans as well.
