MADISON (NBC 26) -- As candidates and parties continue to push for votes, officials say it's time to get those mail-in ballots sent in.

The state's elections commission said today, October 27, is the practical deadline to mail your filled-out ballot back.

Remember it must be received by the clerk by Election Day to be counted.

If you haven't decided yet or aren't ready to mail your ballot back, you can drop it off in person to a municipal drop box or clerk's office any time before 8 p.m. on Election Day.

Also, in-person absentee voting ends on Sunday, Nov. 1. If you're planning to vote in person on Election Day, polls open at 7 a.m. in one week.
