GREEN BAY (NBC 26) -- The mayor's chief of staff in Green Bay says absentee ballots are being returned by voters, but some are missing essential information.

Under state law, the back of the return envelope for absentee ballots needs the address of whoever signs as a witness.

State law says absentee ballots may not be counted if they're missing that address. But that's exactly what's missing from some of the absentee ballots that voters are sending back in Green Bay.

Workers can try to reach voters to get that information fixed, but the request to voters right now is to make sure the back of the envelope is fully filled out.
