After a tumultuous election season, Democratic candidate and former Vice President Joe Biden has won Wisconsin, according to the Associated Press.
Biden and President Donald Trump had each visited Wisconsin in the days leading up to the election for a final push, though Biden has visited Wisconsin significantly fewer times than the president in the months leading up to the election.
In the latest Marquette Law School Poll released on Oct. 28, Biden had a five-point lead over President Trump among likely voters in Wisconsin. Biden was listed as having 48 percent of the likely votes, while President Trump has 43 percent, and Libertarian candidate Jo Jorgensen has 2 percent, with a margin of error of +/- 4.4 percent.
The numbers have been pretty consistent in Wisconsin, with Biden leading by six points in September and five points in early October. The decrease by one point came after the first presidential debate.
The Biden-Harris campaign operated as a challenge to President Trump's "Make America Great Again/Keep America Great" campaign, which included policy changes such as building on the Affordable Care Act instead of overturning it, overturning parts of the Trump Administration's immigration policies and developing a clean energy plan.
