DE PERE (NBC 26) — One week before the election, Donald Trump Jr. paid a visit to De Pere to campaign for his father.

Trump Jr. spoke to supporters for about 40 minutes Tuesday at AmeriLux International. He talked about the president's accomplishments and how he feels Joe Biden has fallen short.

People packed the room wearing red and holding "Make America Great Again" signs.

“He brought a lot of energy. The crowd was very into it too," said Eric Jansen, a Trump supporter. "He was so passionate about speaking about his father. It was really great.”

According to the latestMarquette Law Poll, president Donald Trump trails democratic nominee Joe Biden by five points in Wisconsin.

The president's son went to De Pere hoping to push voters to turn the badger state like it did four years ago.

“My father has had an incredible record of accomplishment: Building the strongest economy America’s ever known; creating the lowest unemployment numbers for African-Americans, for women, for Hispanics; creating the highest number of new start up businesses; he’s pulled us out of endless wars and he's getting peace deals done in the Middle East," Trump Jr. said.

Trump Jr. told the campaign crowd he felt Biden "didn't accomplish anything" during his time as vice president with the Obama administration and is "camouflage to bring in the radical left."

“The reality is he’s the most compromised candidate to ever run for office of the presidency," Trump Jr. said.

His message for voters in Northeast Wisconsin:

“Everything is on the table this election. You can’t take that for granted. Once you lose those freedoms, once you lose those rights, you will never gt them back. So we have to wake up, and we have to get out there and vote accordingly," Trump Jr. said.

Before heading to Iowa to continue campaigning, Trump Jr. encouraged people to vote early.

In response to Donald Trump Jr.'s visit to De Pere, Wisconsin, Democratic Party of Wisconsin Spokesperson Philip Shulman released the following statement:

“Wisconsin surpassed 200,000 cases of COVID-19 yesterday and Trump has totally failed to address the pandemic. Our hospitals are being over-run, tens of thousands of Wisconsinites are still out of work, and Trump has the audacity to claim that we’re “turning the corner’ -- Wisconsinites know this couldn’t be further from the truth. What’s worse is Trump is trying to rip away protections for millions of people with pre-existing conditions and others who get their health care through the exchange. Trump and his administration have declared they’re done trying to address the pandemic. More so than ever, Wisconinites know the only way out of this nightmare is by electing Joe Biden and Kamala Harris to the White House on November 3rd.”

According to the campaign, Donald Trump Jr. will host three 'Make America Great Again!' events in Ohio and Michigan on Monday, then two events in Wisconsin and Iowa on Tuesday.

At the same time Donald Jr. is visiting De Pere, President Trump will be attending a campaign event in West Salem, over in La Crosse County in western Wisconsin.
